I love you.

I love you more.

I love you times infinity.

Times infinity.

Sometime before kindergarten, my mom pierced my ears. As a way to keep my earrings in one place, she would clip them on this pink towel. Sometime since then, I started to attach new (to me) pieces to this pink towel. Mostly pieces from my family, mostly from women: My grandmother’s brooches, my mother’s Camp Fire Girls pin, a pendant from my sister-in-law, earrings from my best friend, my swimming letterman jacket pin.

Maybe always, these pieces felt like they belonged more together on this pink towel.
